The increases mirror national, industry-wide payroll gains for the U.S. economy in January and February.

Hiring in the architectural and engineering services sector continued its slow, if uneven, recovery with the addition of 5,500 jobs in January. This follows a revised gain of 6,800 payroll positions in December. In addition to its monthly report on the country’s economic health released this morning, the Bureau of Labor Statistics also released information on subsets of key markets. This data is a month behind that of the national report, reflecting market conditions in January rather than in February.
