Jimmy Buffet is taking his famous Margaritaville brand to the next level with a 300-acre resort that is now open.
According to Thrillist, Margaritaville Resort Orlando will be broken out into four different sections. Vacationers can stay in rooms at the Margarita Hotel with rates starting at $199 per night. The next options are the Margarita Cottages which vary in size from one bedroom to eight bedrooms. Cottages are also reportedly going to be for sale, but it has not been revealed if that option will be available immediately when the resort opens.
There can’t be a Margaritaville Resort without an area for nightlife and of course margaritas. Sunset Walk will be the area for all guests to shop, eat, drink, and enjoy live entertainment. The district will feature over 35 different dining, shopping, spas, a dine-in movie theater, and other fun recreational options. Seriously one could get lost in the Sunset Walk area.
It gets hot in Orlando, which is why Buffett’s resort will have a 14-acre water park perfect for those sizzling days. Island H20 Live! Water Park will consist of nine different water rides that any thrill seeker will enjoy, as well as a wave pool and a river raft ride. The park will also have cabana and hammocks for those who want to sit and enjoy the day outside. Unfortunately, this section of Margaritaville Resort will not be open until the spring of 2019. A specific date for the water park launch has not yet been announced.
Alyssa Bushey, head of marketing for the resort said in a statement that Jimmy Buffett resort would be the first of its kind in the Orlando area.
