Turnberry Associates and Marriott International will reopen Turnberry Isle Miami (formerly part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection) as part of the JW Marriott portfolio in Winter 2018.
When it reopens, the property will be known as JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa, complete with a new 16-story Orchid Tower comprised of 325 guestrooms. Designed by Nichols Brosch Wurst Wolfe & Associates (NBWW), the tower will nearly double JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa’s overall capacity to 685 rooms and suites, with interiors led by design studio Champalimaud.
The interior design by Champalimaud was inspired by Miami’s Art Deco history, including clean, geometric lines coupled with classic designs and simple yet sophisticated details. An ivory color palette will be used throughout the project, with hints of blue and brown accents to reference the natural surroundings of the environment.
