AWARD-WINNING ARCHITECTURE FIRM NBWW NAMES EMILIA PENUELA AS CONTROLLER AND JUAN ALVARENGA AS ASSOCIATE
MIAMI – Nichols Brosch Wurst Wolfe & Associates, Inc. (NBWW) is pleased to announce Emilia Penuela has joined the firm as a controller and Juan Alvarenga has been named an associate.
Penuela brings more than 19 years of experience in accounting to NBWW. In her new role, Penuela is responsible for accounting operations including managing reporting, transactions and compliance for the firm. She assumes the duties as controller after the recent retirement of Francine Abramoff who retired after 12 years. Prior to joining NBWW, Penuela served as a controller for Rodriguez and Quiroga Architects Chartered, a leading architecture, urban design and interior design firm located in Coral Gables. Fluent in English and Spanish, she studied business administration at Miami Dade College.
Born in Nicaragua and raised in Miami, Florida, Alvarenga joined the firm in 2013 and has since been involved in the design of mixed-use, hospitality and multi-family projects. With experience ranging from conception to construction, he is currently overseeing the production of construction documents for ParkLine, two 33-story apartments on top of the Brightline in Downtown Miami. Alvarenga received a master’s degree in architecture from Florida International University.
