2nd & 2nd is a super high-rise located in the core of downtown Miami, and is one of the tallest towers we've designed to date. Inspired by the concentric shapes of the site's immediate context, the resulting L-shaped building allows for better views, more air and light, and pays reverence to its iconic neighbor - the Miami Tower. Two-thirds of the way up the building, the L-shape cuts back, eventually disappearing altogether and giving way to a slender and elegant form.

Rendering vs. Reality! Our design for @monarcmet was inspired by kelp fronds floating underwater. The movement created by the slab profiles and balcony placement in the tower is expressed in the garage as well, thanks to metal panels that mimic woven ribbons. The JW Marriott isn't the only project we've worked on in the Water Street area. Today, we're taking a look back at the Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel. Built in 2000 as the city's primary convention hotel, this hotel is one of the original anchors of Water Street, and consists of over 700 guestrooms and suites and 75,000 SF of convention space.

Situated adjacent to the Tampa Convention Center and Amalie Arena, the JW Marriott @watersttampa is one of our most exciting projects under construction, scheduled for completion in 2020. The 26-story hotel is flanked by two four-story wings, dramatically reducing the perceived scale of the building along the street. A four-story atrium space activates the corner of S. Florida Avenue and Water street, encouraging socialization and collaboration, while a rooftop lounge and terrace features 360-degree views of downtown Tampa.

Located in the largest street art gallery in the nation, our design for the Arlo Wynwood by @arlohotels is a cross between a sophisticated boutique/pod hotel and an urban event venue that mirrors the rogue artistic character of its location: the vibrant Wynwood District. Two large voids in the building extend the network of Wynwood's activated public spaces up and into the fabric of the hotel, carving out areas for outdoor art galleries and allowing light and air into the guestrooms.

Reminiscing about our proposal for the Bahia Mar development in Ft. Lauderdale a few years back. The master plan for this project included two high-rise condominium towers and a pedestrian only retail village along A1A, as well as the restoration of an existing hotel, and new low-rise townhouses lining a garage/convention space.

Our design for the EDITION Miami Beach blends modern sophistication with historic charm, drawing inspiration from the property's original architect, Melvin Grossman, and infusing contemporary textures and finishes. The entire project included the renovation of the original 1950's hotel tower, a new 18-story glass condominium tower, and a curved 5-story building housing bungalow suites and amenities.
