After nearly three years of construction, Silverspot Cinema has opened in downtown Miami’s Met Square mixed-use development. The development was designed by NBWW (Nichols Brosch Wurst Wolfe) architects from Coral Gables.
The luxury dine-in movie theater, at 300 S.E. Third St., opens daily at 11 a.m. The 70,000-square-foot movie theater currently has nine auditoriums open that feature between 30 and 130 reclining seats.
Matinee tickets cost $14.93 for adults and $12.77 for children under 12 and adults over 65. Evening tickets cost $17.87 for adults and $13.75 for children under 12 and adults over 65. Tickets can be purchased at the concierge or kiosk areas, online at Silverspot.net or on the Silverspot Cinema app.
In addition to movies, Silverspot offers event programming such as performances from the Metropolitan Opera’s Live in HD series, symphonic orchestras and themed festivals. It also partners with local film festivals to screen their movies.
Another feature is The Spot, a meeting and event space with its own private bar and lounge. When the space isn’t rented, it’s open to the public.
