Residences at Epoch in downtown Sarasota are priced from $3.3 million to $8.5 million.
SARASOTA — Site work is underway after Seaward Development LLC broke ground on Epoch, an 18-story, 23-unit condominium tower in downtown Sarasota.
The project is between South Palm Avenue and Gulfstream Avenue.
Seaward Development principals Patrick DiPinto and David Hargreaves marked the groundbreaking with a ceremony with future homeowners, the architectural team and executives from Gilbane Construction, according to a statement. Residences will range from 3,680 to 5,650 square feet. They are priced from $3.3 million to $8.5 million. Approximately 40% of the building is under contract, the release adds.
“We wanted the building to have an iconic and timeless design but recognized that it had to fit Sarasota’s unique character,” says Hargreaves in the statement. “This is not a city of celebrities and media stars who require the outrageous, but it is a city that embraces a heritage of modern architectural design.”
The design of the tower was done by Nichols Brosch Wurst & Wolfe (NBWW) of Coral Gables.
